How do I play?
Choose one of the five chameleons at the bottom of the screen to place it on one of four perches. It catches every bug of its colour along the garden's bottom edge with its tongue, one bug per shot, until its shots run out. Clear every bug to win. In the Garden trail, seed pods need three matching hits to free their firefly.
If all four perches are blocked, the garden is lost. Keep a perch free for the next colour, and use Undo to take back a choice. Clearing bugs fills the Bloom meter; tap it when it's ready for a burst of faster catches.
What's the difference between Journey and the Garden trail?
Journey is 500 puzzles across 20 chapters, with stars for your score and 40 trophies to collect. The Garden trail is 60 woodland gardens; clearing them fills your bug journal and lets you restore the clearing. Each keeps its own progress, and you can switch between them from the menus.
I bought Remove ads but still see ads
Open the Ad-free screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used for the purchase. The game also checks your purchase each time it opens.
Why do I see ads?
The game is free, and every level stays free. A full-screen ad can appear when you tap Next after clearing a level, and only after you've played for a few minutes and cleared several levels. You'll never see an ad during a puzzle, after a loss or in your first session. Remove ads turns them off for good.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
Open the Ad-free screen and tap Ad privacy choices. The button only does something where privacy choices apply to you. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I turn off sound, motion or haptics?
Yes. Pause the game and use the Sound, Motion and Haptics switches. Your choices are remembered next time you play.
Can I move my progress to a new phone?
Progress is saved on your device. Restoring your iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup brings it with you. You can also pause the game, open Journey & trophies, and use Export Journey backup to save your Journey progress to Files, then Import progress from Files on the new phone. Importing only ever raises your records; it never lowers stars or scores you've already earned. Garden trail progress isn't included in Journey backups. Bug Jam does not have its own cloud save.
My progress didn't save
If the game can't save after you clear a level, it tells you and offers Retry save. Free up some storage on your iPhone and try again. If it keeps happening, email us.
