Include your Lamphouse version (shown at the bottom of Settings), your Android version, your phone model and what happened. A screenshot helps. Never send your Plex password or your Google password.
What do I need?
A Plex Media Server that you own, with secure connections turned on in the server's Network settings. Lamphouse works on phones running Android 8.0 or later.
How do I sign in?
Tap Sign in with Plex on the welcome screen. Plex opens in your browser: sign in there and allow Lamphouse, then come back. Lamphouse carries on by itself and lists your servers. If the browser closed too early, tap Open Plex again.
You sign in on Plex's own website, so Lamphouse never sees your Plex password.
Can I try it without signing in?
Yes. Tap Explore sample data on the welcome screen to use Lamphouse with an illustrative server. Tap Leave sample mode in Settings when you are ready to connect your own.
Why can I not choose a server that a friend shared with me?
Plex shows who is watching only to a server's owner, so servers shared with you appear under Shared with you but cannot be chosen.
Does it work away from home?
Yes, as long as Remote Access is turned on for your server in Plex. Lamphouse finds your server's best address at home and away, and switches by itself when one stops answering.
What does the sponsored card do?
When Lamphouse is connected to your server, one sponsored card sits at the end of Overview. Ads are never personalised. The card never appears in sample mode.
How do I remove ads?
Open Settings and tap Remove ads. It is a one-time purchase through Google Play that hides the sponsored card for good and supports Lamphouse's development. Your local price shows before you buy.
If Google Play is still finishing the payment, Settings says the purchase is waiting, and the card disappears once Google Play confirms it.
I bought Remove ads but the card is back
Make sure Google Play on your phone is signed in to the Google account you used, then open Lamphouse while online. It checks with Google Play and hides the card again. This also covers a new phone or a reinstall.
For refunds, use Google Play's purchase history, or follow Google Play's refund steps.
How do I change my advertising privacy choices?
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, open Settings and tap Privacy choices.
How do I remove my data?
Open Settings and tap Disconnect Plex, or uninstall the app. Disconnecting removes your Plex sign-in and server access from your phone, and your Plex server and media are unchanged. See the privacy policy for details.
